Chuckwagon's Best Peach Cobbler

  • 2 cups ChuckWagon's Best self-rising Corn Meal
  • 3 Tblsp. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 3 Tbsp. Bacon grease or melted shortening Preheat oven to 425°. Grease a large cast iron skillet and place in oven until ready to use. Mix flour and corn meal in mixing bowl. Combine eggs, buttermilk and grease. Add to corn meal and mix until smooth. Pour into hot skillet and bake 35-40 minutes or until brown. Makes serving for 6.


Cheese Corn Muffins


  • 1 cup ChuckWagon's Best self-rising Corn Meal Cheese Corn Muffins
  • 1 cup ChuckWagon's Best self-rising flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp. bacon grease or melted shortening
  • 1 8oz. can of cream style corn ½ cup chopped onion ½ cup grated cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 425°. Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl until smooth. Pour into well greased pre-heated muffin tin. Bake 20 -25 minutes or until done. Makes 8 - 10 muffins.
